I AM THE INTERNET JESUS

Hey there, Constant Reader. I’m a former Long Island girl living in southeastern PA with my wonderful husband and a small black & white cat.

This area is a curious place of extremes where you can go from rural Pennsylvania Dutch country to the homogeneous urban sprawl between NYC and Philly in an hour’s car ride…where spring & autumn are a beautiful paradise and summer & winter unbearable hell…where the poverty of dying coal and steel towns brackets the opulence of the Delaware Valley…where the redneck and liberal fight over which way the commonwealth is going to swing every four years. We’ve got the Amish, Joe Paterno, the Little League World Series, Yuengling’s, cheesesteaks, pretzels, chocolate, state-run liquor stores and the third oldest population in America.

I am an insurance agent by trade, but I have since retired from that field as it made me and still makes me ball up with depression and anxiety. So that is enough about that.

Anyhow, thanks to DARPA and Tim Berners-Lee, we have this little tool for information-sharing and social interaction that Vannevar Bush predicted in 1945 and dubbed the “memex”. We just call it the web. As to why I would use such an incredible force to bring you this humble site, JLG365.COM, though I admit I am not much of a writer, I think Andrew Sullivan said it best:

“Words, of all sorts, have never seemed so now.”
